Mission statement
CONNECT is the premiere Co-ed Service & Social Nonprofit organization at Texas A&M. CONNECT seeks to provide assistance to the BCS community by directly serving through labor and presence, as well as by providing consistent participation in outside student organizational service events. CONNECT will develop its members in leadership, selflessness, and commitment while providing a social outlet that will foster long term relationships.
About connect
CONNECT is a co-ed 50 percent social and 50 percent service organization that will develop its members in leadership, selflessness, and social networking. We reach out specifically to the Bryan-College Station community for service opportunities while additionally providing a social outlet to all members.
Committees
Social
The Social Committee is responsible for planning all the social events for the organization. These events include guys and girls nights, tailgates, new member retreats, semi-formal, crush parties, an end of the year banquet and much more. As a member in the Social Committee, you will have the opportunity to expand your communication skills while helping CONNECT members bond and build friendships.
Service
CONNECT strives to serve the Bryan/ College Station Community in every way we can. We partner with all types of non-profit organizations in order to provide hands-on service to give back to the community that has given us so much.
Public Relations
The Public Relations committee handles all apparel and banner designs and is in charge of running CONNECT social media pages. During recruitment, we are in charge of visuals that promote our organization and take photos and videos at all events. We work together to create PR shirts and apparel and are constantly implementing ideas from members!
Membership
The Membership committee is in charge of organizing and planning events within CONNECT. This includes planning weekly hangouts, study nights, member retreats and more!
Internal relations
Internal Relations is the professional face of CONNECT. We organize meetings that feature external speakers, fundraise for the organization, and focus on the professional development of our members. We seek to inspire our members and build them into future leaders.
